18 cities of Odisha above 40’C

Bhubaneswar 9/5: For the second day in a row, people in most parts of the state are basking in summer. After almost 2 weeks, the state has once again seen the effects of summer wave. Today, the temperature in 18 cities of the state is above 40 degrees. Boudh recorded maximum temperature for the second consecutive day. It touched 42 degrees on Monday and 42.5 degrees on Tuesday. This information has been given by the Regional Meteorological Center.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature was recorded at 42.4 degrees in Jharsuguda, 41.7 degrees in Balangir and 41.6 degrees in Talcher. In Sambalpur, Rourkela, the temperature was 41.4 degrees, while in Angul and Sundargarh, it was 41.1 degrees.
Similarly, in Kendrapara 41, Sonpur 40.9, Hirakud 40.6, Titilagarh 40.5, Nayagarh 40.3, Baripada 40.2, Chandbali 40.1, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Bhavanipatna mercury has reached 40 degrees.
