Forest department seized 62 turtles,3 detained

Jharigaon, 9/5: Jharigaon Forest Department seized 62 turtles. According to information, the forest department seized the turtle on the main road of Jodaam Street during the patrolling of the forest department in the Kangra section under the Choklapadar panchayat under the Jhariga forest division of Nabarangpur district. Jharigaon ranger Shri Gobind Chandra Nayak has seized the turtle and disclosed it to the media.

According to information, 62 turtles, whose weight will be 45 kg. At 4:45 pm yesterday afternoon Kangara Section Forester Gupta Prasad Mohanty, Forest Guard N Babaji Rao, Hemant Kumar Jhankar and Jhargaon Forestry staff caught Kotchapar Bei at Jodaam Street during joint patrolling. In Case No. 31/2023-24, businessman Dhiriz Mistry has been prosecuted. The arrested accused’s village is of Kod Bhatta village under Bhiksha panchayat, Jharigaon block. According to Ranger Mr. Gobind, the trader has revealed that he is selling the turtle for 2000 rupees per kg. Mr. Gobind Naik, the ranger of Jharigaon, who admitted that Dhiraj Mistry was bringing turtles from Panchayat Sadar in Kalahandi district, Koksora block, has disclosed this in front of the media.
