Kolabira shooting: Youth critically injured in firing

Jharsuguda/Kolabira 11/05: Madness case of a suspended police officer. He shot a youth in Kolabira Khadiyapada. The youth was injured in the firing. When the injured young man swam, he was rescued by Goindapada. A bullet rang in his shoulder. He was first shifted to Kolabira Government Hospital and later to District Head Hospital.

The incident took place in Kolabira Khadiyapada at around 7 pm on Wednesday. It has been reported that this happened because of an argument with Kishore Mahanandia, a suspended police officer. The teenager Mahanandia could not be arrested as he had gone back after the shooting. On receiving information about the incident, SDPO Nirmal Mohapatra said that a police ASI was sent to the spot, but the reason behind the incident is not known. It is to be noted that almost a year ago, teenager Mahanandia was suspended due to a shooting incident. It is said that there is no political motive behind this incident
