Lunar Eclipse visible to India

The May 5 event is also called a penumbral lunar eclipse as the moon passes through the Earth’s penumbra, the outermost region of its shadow.

The three celestial bodies will come together in a lunar eclipse as Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon casting a giant shadow on the lunar surface and sending it into darkness in the night sky. The Lunar eclipse will occur on May 5 and will dazzle stargazers in several parts of the world.
