Bhubaneswar: JD(U) supremo and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to visit Odisha and meet BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on next 9th. Nitish Kumar is meeting the leaders of the NDA parties in an effort to form a strong alliance against the BJP-led Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

According to information, Nitish Kumar will meet Naveen at Naveen’s residence on the 9th at 12 pm. Nitish Kumar will stay at Naveen’s residence for about an hour and there is a plan to treat him to lunch. According to the Chief Minister’s office, there is no detailed information as this interview is purely political. On the other hand, according to a senior leader of BJD, the approach of BJD is clear. BJD does not want to be particularly active in national politics. As a regional party, BJD is working towards what is needed for the interests of Odisha. Both the BJP and the Congress still stand by the BJD policy. Earlier, Grassroots Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited Odisha and met Naveen. Now Nitish Kumar will come. BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has no problem meeting the leaders of other political parties, but the concerned leader said on the condition of anonymity that there is little possibility of BJD being involved in Nitish’s efforts to form an anti-BJP alliance.
